Burnsville Hail Storm & Bloomington MN | June 9 2016

 
A large thunderstorm rolled through the night and into the morning throughout the Southwestern parts of the Twin Cities area on June 9 2016. Trained spotters in Burnsville and Bloomington MN are reporting ping pong sized hail falling in the area, which is approximately 1.5 inches in size. Hail storms of this size are known to cause damage to the following: cars, boats, decks, siding, roofing systems, and windows.

More than 45,000 homes were affected by this June 9 hail storm that lasted approximately 4 minutes. The storm also carried heavy winds that reach up to 55mph at times.
