What seamless gutter company is right for you?
Seamless Gutter Company

Replacing or installing gutters on your home can be a big project. A properly installed and functioning seamless gutter system is crucial to ensure proper drainage to protect your home and foundation.

Here are some tried and true ways to find out if a particular gutter company is right for you.

Do they offer free estimates?

While installing or repairing a gutter system can be costly, a gutter company should provide you with free costs and estimates for their work. It’s a good idea to get multiple estimates from multiple gutter companies to ensure you are getting the best deal. But remember, the lowest estimate might not always ensure the best quality. A good gutter company should provide detailed estimates explaining exactly how they will be installing the seamless gutters.

Are they insured?

Never underestimate the importance of insurance, permits and license when working with a seamless gutter company. Even if a company seems legitimate, not being able to back up their qualifications and credentials with the necessary paperwork can be a recipe for disaster, especially if something goes wrong during a repair or install.

If property owners choose to work with an uninsured gutter company or one with expired permits, then any accidents—should they occur—during the job will likely not be covered by a homeowner’s insurance policy.

Do they have references?

Most property owners will call a seamless gutter company that has been recommended to them by friends, family or coworkers. Even though most property owners will take these recommendations seriously, it’s still important to conduct background checks and ask for other references (from customers you may not know) to double check.

Installing and/or repairing a seamless gutter system is a big deal. In fact, many property owners might consider this a DIY project. One of the most attractive reasons to take on a DIY home project—and probably the most common reason—is to save on hiring a contractor and only pay for materials.

How long have they been around?

Seamless gutters can seem simple and unimportant, but take notice of how they protect your property from water damage.  A professional gutter company will be around to make repairs or deal with any issues that may arise. The fly by night companies will be gone with problems show up.
